Final hunt and total haul with GO-FIND 60 in Puerto Rico...
GO-FIND 60
April 24, 2015 10:00am
Total haul in 4 hours of hunting:
21 - coins, 6 - pieces of interesting junk that I'll clean and a bottle cap at 11" in wet, salt water sand!
Some of the coins are so corroded that I'm not sure what they actually are.
Getting depth on this Atlantic Ocean beach was easy...most finds were 6" or more. Several were 10 - 13"...many in wet sand.
The GO-FIND 60 is a beast! Easy, powerful and durable.

Apprentice becomes the Master
X-TERRA 705
April 24, 2015 08:00am
The weekend finally came and another chance to get out for a swing
along with it. After being bitten by the detecting bug at the beginning
of the year I have been out every weekend, wanting to learn as much as I
can, as quickly as I can about my X-Terra 705 and ultimately develop a
collection of finds greater than my friend who has been in the hunt for 4
years now. As the weeks went on, I slowly started to become better at
understanding what's junk and what's a find worth digging, spending up
to 8 hours a day (a full working day) to become better. Florins,
sixpences, threepence's started to flow, my hard work was starting to
pay off, every day I went out I was finding silvers, along way from just
finding bottle caps, squashed up old cans, spoons, shovel heads, I
could go on for a long while with all the random junk finds, but it has
been all worth it. By now I should mention that I have been detecting
only parks. On this cold drizzly day, this particular park paid off with
a feeling my friend has not had the pleasure of having yet.
I was under a large tree filtering through high junk signals looking for that known silver coin signal, throughout the junk I get a real faint hit, so I focus in on this spot getting readings from 20-40 good numbers but wide apart, so I took off a layer of dirt and ran the coil over again and started to get a stronger signal 20-34 so keep on digging, got about 7 inches down with pin pointer out stuffed in the hole searching for it, was telling me I had a couple of more inches to go. Arm deep in the hole scratching away with my fingers I suddenly feel roundness, I gently pry out my find hoping it to be a silver, slowly open my hand and instantly start shaking, I see gold!! it’s a Gold coin!

could not believe my eyes, a perfect condition gold coin, so I quickly took some happy snaps, called my friend to tell him of my find, he was excited for me but shattered at the same time, he now bows down to me as the coin king, the apprentice who quickly became the master :) After some research it turns out my gold coin is a 1908 Melbourne (Australia) minted Half Sovereign. A spectacular find all thanks to my Minelab X-Terra 705 love ya work Minelab :)

For more FAMILY FUN, you'll need MORE THAN ONE
GO-FIND 40
April 23, 2015 09:00am
Minelab has shown that FAMILY FUN weighs less than 2 1/2 pounds.
The new GO-FIND metal detector is so simple a 5 year old can understand how to use it. Yet the performance driven features will have adults fighting for their turn.
Coin and relic hunters will marvel at the sensitivity of the compact fold-up GO-FIND. The GO-FIND will be an enormous hit with competition coin hunters, who demand fast processor speeds and spot on accuracy when it comes to pinpointing a target.

CTX 3030 First Gold
CTX 3030
April 23, 2015 08:00am
Having recently upgrading and buying the bigger brother for the E-TRAC I
recently went on a field that I thought was somewhat bleak. The CTX GPS
assisted me with what I believed to be a Hot spot i found and attached
it to the CTX via exchange 2.
Off i went in search and it wasn't long before the buttons and other items started to make the machine prove itself. After a short while a silver 'Love token' came out and then a beautiful Sapphire Gold ring. I was very happy.

The display on the screen was crystal clear indication and the finds points store for my return. The once bleak field has now come to life.
Thank you so much.

18oz Golden Aussie Day
GPZ 7000
April 20, 2015 08:00am
26/01/2015 what a Australian Day, 8 days into the trip and only found
21 grams and was pretty happy with I had, my legs, arms were sore and
had 3 days to go. On the 25/01/15 about 430pm I stumbled on a patch
picking up 12 solid nuggets ranging from 8g to 14g. As the sun was
disappearing and a massive storm was approaching I could not pick them
up fast enough as every step was a solid target. The lighting and rain
set on by 6pm and forced me back to camp. 3 ounces in such a little time
and knowing there was more was killing me. 65mm of rain that night and
80km wind gusts at one stage I thought I was have to pack camp up and
get out otherwise I could be stuck for a week or 2. By 3am rain stopped
and stars were out. 430am jumped on the quad and straight back into
picking gold up.
Total 18oz Golden Aussie Day.

I called a mate and told him to come up and clean this patch right out using GPX 5000 and a range of coils until we could not get another bit of gold. As soon as the GPZ 7000 came on the market I was lucky to buy on straight away and went back to see if this machine is as good as minelab says it is. Bloody To Right it is I could not believe how many small ( .1 .2) bits of gold and 3 to 8 that where deeper but must have been laying on its side that the GPX could not pick up and species.

Cheers Minelab for a great product.

First 2hours with GO-FIND 60 in Puerto Rico...
GO-FIND 60
April 23, 2015 09:00am
I spent 1 hour yesterday and 1 hour this morning with the GO-FIND on a
busy beach in Puerto Rico. It is crowded during the day so lots of pull
tabs, etc.
This is by far the easiest machine I have ever used. I was detecting in less than 60 seconds & all I needed was my detector, my scoop and my pouch (I also used a pinpointer) after about 25 minutes it was very easy for me to start guessing what would be a pull tab, junk or a coin. I was so busy finding things I have only moved about 25 meters down the beach in 2.5 hours.

In total I have found: 9 coins (quarter, 2-dimes, nickel, 5-pennies); 1 heavily encrusted ‘coin shaped’ thing that I will have to get cleaned up to see what it is, 1 very old-square nail, 1 small screw, a Corona bottle cap (made me thirsty!), and 6 or 7 pull tabs. In total I have dug 20 different treasures in 120 minutes – that is one every 6-minutes and it takes me at least 2 – 3 minutes to find the treasure from the signal. So, in general, if the key for this series was to keep people busy, finding things and digging treasure – Minelab have succeeded!

Easy, powerful, effective. GO-FIND Adventure for Everyone!!

Wedding Ring Found
CTX 3030
April 19, 2015 08:00am
I was contacted by a site where they are registered by a gentleman who
lives in turin that Mr. Marian d desperate because he had lost a few
days before (about 9-10 days), her wedding ring in a beach not far from
where I live ...
even though he had worked hard to look at sight for several hours and using palette or rakes had not come up with anything ....
the morning of last Saturday we were at the point established and after giving me some pointers on the area to check I started researching the big CTX ..
I saw right away without digging the presence on the sand of some nails and tin tabs that I have dug and after a few minutes I recovered two coins from one to at least EUR 30 35cm deep very oxidized .. (probably escaped the search of other seekers with other metal..eh eh) but for sure in that place for many years ....
after about 15 min a distinct warning after two coins .... 12:32 .... I moved the sand a bit with your hands and under a few cma reappeared faith in 18Kt gold glittering allla sunlight ... I'm not to tell you the happiness of Mariano ..... and after some photos thanked me I do not know how many and how often I accepted and wanted a small cash contribution for the trouble ... (which views the insistence .... I gladly accepted ..)
thanks Minelab the CTX 3030 is really a big metal !!

Jackpot
CTX 3030
April 17, 2015 08:00am
The scene was set. Great weather, some free time before work, research
done, the perfect opportunity to go out for my first ever coin detecting
trip. I had hired a CTX 3030 and headed to my first stop, a landing
ground for some of our founding explorers. Wasn’t long before the CTX
started to sing. The excitement rose higher and higher until yet another
ring pull, and another......
I kept reassuring myself that this trip was all about education and learning the detector and not to expect any more. New location and a couple of dollars in loose change showed up. Time was ticking away and night shift at work approached. I had just enough time to hit the road and visit some old convict areas i had read about. Finally arriving i jumped out of the car, hit the bush track keen to find a button at least! Finally heard a very different tone come from the CTX and then couldn’t get it back! I started to walk off in frustration but decided to stick with it. After 15mins i heard it again and this time got the Minelab Pro Pointer onto it. Well, under about 2 inches of dirt up against a small shrub i extracted this little ripper from 1858. Well i didn't know if i should dance, jump, sing all shout with joy! First trip out and just when i was ready to call it a day it felt like i hit the jackpot with this small historical find.
